Lazy left wing trolls will read headline & ignore the story which says most of these deaths aren’t classified as COVID. Fentanyl, suicide, homicides rates all up substantially. This is a wake up call & leaders need to figure it out. Decline of life spans is decline of America.

Reading comprehension matters, dummy. "deaths that are being reported as COVID deaths greatly understate the actual death losses among working-age people FROM THE PANDEMIC."

The anxiety caused by feeling like it’s hopeless, leads many to use and abuse, or give up. In a Country/state/city where ignorance is in leadership...many are feeling hopeless after two years.

But the death data does not support it being suicide or homicide. It's longterm impacts of covid in addition to covid...worsening diabetes, causing vascular issues, etc...and the impact of covid filling hospitals on ability to care for other patients. Still covid wrecklessness.

Do you, seriously, not understand just how much of this is a result of the pandemic??

For those who act like there is no real threat, there will never be an understanding of how much the rest of us has endured.

“unfortunately, the average Hoosiers’ health has declined during the pandemic.”

As a pathologist who certifies deaths I understand why: Excess deaths capture deaths from Covid + all the deaths that are Covid-related. e.g. If you get myocarditis from Covid but die of heart failure months or years earlier than you should, we wouldn’t know it was from Covid.

I know I'd want to overdose if a loved one was hospitalized or died of COVID. But maybe I'm being lazy by actually thinking about cause and effect.

My brother’s friend committed suicide after giving COVID to his elderly father, who died. It happens.

That's not all it says. I read the entire thing. You should try it.
