Great answer from @rickygervais. Nothing should be off limits for comedy. It's all about the angle. I'd add that much of the pious offense from cancel mobs is fake. They use artificial outrage as a weapon to silence critics because we've taught them that it works.

We’d have fewer (and quieter) cancel mobs if we stopped apologizing to them. And we’d all be a bit happier and healthier if we took ourselves and our sacred cows less seriously. Comedians willing to make fun of the things we don’t want them to are exactly what we need right now.

It's not just that the scientific community was wrong. The government was wrong. The media was wrong. Big Tech was wrong. Corporations were wrong. Schools were wrong. Everyone who pushed the narrative while punishing dissent was wrong.

Djokovic is back at number 1 despite having been barred from multiple majors over the past year, and despite not getting any points for his win at Wimbledon. They tried to punish him for not getting vaxxed, but he never gave in and he came out on top. You love to see it.

Real-time location doxxing is dangerous. Prohibiting that is not viewpoint discrimination. As for criticism of @elonmusk — there's never been more of it here. He said this himself: "I hope that even my worst critics remain on Twitter, because that is what free speech means."
Replying to @SethDillon
Does free expression extend to all or just those who Elon thinks are not wrong? The current Twitter is one in which you won’t be banned for spreading conspiracy theories or advocating armed revolts, but you might be for criticizing Mr. Twitter or showing where his plane is.

That depends on what your platform claims to offer. Twitter, for example, calls itself a platform for "free expression without barriers." If you advertise free expression—but silence/suppress anyone you think is "wrong"—then your own mission statement is misinformation.

People don't have a right to be wrong on MY platform. They have a right to be wrong. They don't have a right to be wrong using my stuff for free.

You missed the point. I was saying that these platforms have been prohibiting viewpoints they don't like by mislabeling them as "misinformation" or "hateful conduct." That said, people do have a right to be wrong, both factually & morally. Refute them. Or just ignore/block them.
Hey @SethDillon . Care to re-read what you wrote? So you believe that misinformation and hate speech are acceptable forms of "opinion"? Really?

Since "gender-affirming care" is a euphemism for drugging and mutilating children who've been groomed into a cult of confusion, this is a good thing — a very good thing.
