I need someone to explain to me why 41 Senate Republicans, representing just 21% of the population, can block voting rights legislation supported by 70% of Americans. Explain it to me like I’m in kindergarten.

And as populations increase, that skew becomes more and more lopsided. Effectively wiping out any pretense of Democratic process the country started out with.
