Why do Mississippi voters vote Red after seeing for decades that it just keeps them poor and last among states in nearly every metric?
Replying to @Numbers28
Because Mississippi, like many RED STATES, have been de funding public schools and don't let them teach critical thinking. Why? If you don't have a solid foundation in critical thinking-you vote against your own interests ➡️and that is exactly why the GOP de funds public schools.

This is crucial to understand, now and at all times. Reagan's OMB Director understood it, real economists understand it.
Great thread on the intuition of dogs, cats when it comes to bad people:
For the record, Trump hates dogs because they have barked at him his entire life. I've seen highly trained service animals lose their composure in his presence. It freaks him out because they sense the truth.@GOP

This is worth a reminder. The 2017 Republican tax plan reduced taxes for the wealthiest the most, less for the middle class and poor, with only the tax cuts for the wealthy being permanent. Those who make less than $75K/yr will be seeing less and less in their paychecks.

Pls be careful with edumacated coastal elite words like “infrastructure.” Nobody ever woke up early thinking, “If only I had better infrastructure!” Ppl just want better roads, safer bridges, and high speed internet for everyone! Speak to the belly, not to the, um, cerebrum!

This short Fox News interview is just flat out wonderful! Imagine if we had more people on both sides speaking like this? The world would be a MUCH better place.
Pete Buttigieg just gave a masterclass on owning the conversation on Fox News.

1/ As an American deeply concerned about preserving free and fair elections, I re-read the Constitution and scholarly articles about the intent and history of the Elections Clause. I’m stunned at how willfully ignorant & corrupt the “Independent State Legislature theory” is.

This would help with the endless multiple interpretations of ancient writing, such as whether “arms” referred to muskets or AR-14s with bumpstocks:
Reminder that Thomas Jefferson who helped write the Declaration of Independence also said we should rewrite the constitution every 20 years so that dead people wouldn’t rule over modern society.
This article is one of two that provide the clearest perspective on America’s Rise and imminent Fall, and how we can still save it with action NOW. 1/2: eand.co/why-didnt-america-be…

How else are they going to take their kids to school when the APCs (Armored Personnel Carriers) that replaced school busses get hit by personal howitzers owned by freedom-loving Americans along the route to school?

🏆 This is a really important huge effort by Navalny’s foundation - check out this thread on how Putin can be significantly weakened without a shot fired:
Replying to @leonidvolkov
We have compiled and published a list of warmongers — members of Putin's elite, whose actions made the insane war against Ukraine possible. It's a fairly long list — it has over 6,000 names: acf.international/bribetaker… (3/12)

Now that is really something. Well, hopefully we won’t be holding up the rear forever.
In Germany, teaching the Holocaust is mandatory. It includes visits to concentration camp, museums, etc. They don’t shy away from their own ugly history. Yet the kids aren’t damaged; they’re strengthened, matured, humbled. US needs to do same re slavery. Not that complicated.
