I think people have a lot of trouble understanding just how big the Canadian prairies are. I’ve used thetruesize.com to place the UK over Alberta. If London, UK in around Medicine Hat, then Edmonton if in *Carlisle*. Peace River is located in the Hebrides.

Between all the clickbait, UK Celebs you've never heard of, and sensational headlines, the #DailyMail turns its attention to our fair hamlet. Along with a recent @UNILAD video, #Vancouver seems and Hastings street seems to be the new favourite punching bag for international media

Donning @ThePeelers shirt today recalling the fine night that Dave & the rest of the gang were in town a couple months back. Great to meet Daphnee too who looks like an angel but plays like a demon! An all too brief meeting, but we’ll seeya in July.

Good to catch #LastDaysinVietnam on @kpassiton tonight. I own the DVD, but I watched it again anyway when I saw it on. It's a remarkable, candid, revealing documentary. #KnowledgeNetwork

.Looking at the @broadwaysubway_plan - I can't help but think South Granville Station needs a better name. "South Granvillle" should be south - like 41st & Granville. What say we brainstorm a better name that fits the geography? A nod to historic Vancouver perhaps? 1/2

Perhaps naming it after a deserving citizen in #VancouverHistory? Maybe name with a nod to First Nations? Surely this can't be called South Granville Station. They're going to need that name when they build a line up Granville and have a station at 41st! 2/2

Surely we could suggest some more colourful names? Look at the #LondonUnderground: Station names like Cockfosters, Bethnal Green, Elephant & Castle, etc they know to name a station over there. #BroadwaySkytrain @broadwaysubway_ #BroadwaySubway #skytrain
Enough with the goddamn Heat Pump adverts.

The Winter Market by @GreatDismal is set in Vancouver and @TheAaronChapman books exploring Vancouver’s dirty underbelly, crime and policing are phenomenally engaging reads. Vancouver is interesting and inspiring if you take the time to get to know it!

For what I’m into, this is the greatest live rock ‘n’ roll performance ever broadcast into a TV.
#OnThisDay, Jan. 18, 1986. Host: Harry Dean Stanton. Musical guest: The Replacements. Quite possibly the booziest episode ever, as both Harry and The Replacements spent most of the day drinking together. After these performances, The Replacements would be "banned" from SNL.

These are good people: not us - the team from @ARCAnimalRescue who rescue dogs & cats & find them good homes. (One of team helped us find two of our favourite cats about 25 years ago.) #AdoptDontShop is their battle cry!
Fantastic support from @GylesB1 and his lovely wife Michèle today! Thanks to Pet People vets, East Sheen, for having us along to raise awareness of our animal rescue work, all run by volunteers. #AdoptDontShop

Despite the logic. "Forever War" is being attached to Vlad's nihilistic crusade. A sense that if you keep digging a hole somehow you will get out of it. A concept familiar to Americans in Iraq and Afghanistan. Putin has shifted from facts to fancy cepa.org/article/putins-end-…

Doug and the Slugs top 5 in Canada?! What year is this. What a remarkable thing. Great to see in the wake of @slugumentary. Somebody should do@a book on this band—wait a minute…
Makin' it work since 1978, and 'climbing charts' in 2023?! On Monday (Jan 16) ’Slugcology 101’ reached top 5 on iTunes Canada, this followed Sunday’s screening on CBC of the documentary Doug and the Slugs and Me. Huge gratitude to our fans for your feedback & support! @DougSlugs
