What are the advantages over Marmoset?

part of it is just learning the process and the program but the other is a finer control over the materials and rendering. I like what marmoset gives me but for stuff that isn't full game-arty process I wanna see if Blender works better for presenting them.

heck yeah, I was about to say that another big goal for trying this out is to learn more node-based material creation rather than plug and play marmoset.

I鈥檇 go with Cycles. But both have pros and cons and look diff. Once you set up an HDRI and play with a couple of render settings youll be more than half way there. It Might look intimidating but it鈥檚 really not. Also, please don鈥檛 buy any render addons until you fully 1/2

2/2 understand all the settings. I fully support the paid addon market but some of the things that are out there you can easily duplicate yourself. Or just save you like 30 min, which isn鈥檛 worth it if you鈥檙e rendering a single character once a week. Good luck
