"Dems do not appear to have a strategy" for overcoming McConnell lunacy on debt limit, NYT subhed says: nyti.ms/3Ey6qz0 Let's stop treating GOP bad faith as a fact of life in which Rs have no agency and that Ds are solely responsible for overcoming (NYT piece is better)

We don't have to accept the idea that GOP filibusters and bad faith are natural, inevitable features of our governing order and political life, ones in which Republicans supposedly have no agency and which Dems are singlehandly responsible for overcoming. washingtonpost.com/opinions/…

Dems should just repeal this debt limit farce in budget reconciliation. Republicans have shown not only utter bad faith - but continually willing to use threat of US Treasury default in a 'game' of political chicken.

And there’s nothing you can do about it folks. Although the Second Amendment people, maybe there is. I don't know.

Not surprising democrats have no strategy to deal with the republican debt ceiling manufactured crisis again. Did democrats think they be rewarded by rising debt ceiling each year during the trump administration

That's the problem with the NYT. The headline is always framed to favor the GOP, no matter what the reporting is.

Dems are left to fix things the same way the Justice League has to clean up Joker's and Riddler's nonsense...

Play the platinum coin card. Obama wouldn't, but Yellen could order the minting of $1 trillion in platinum coins. Problem solved. And Mitch can't stop her.

Medias should be focusing a little bit more on the GOP’s bad faith obstructionism to default on partisan politics instead of having the Dems to find a solution…

of course, the strategy may be to call McConnell's bluff, and if the GOP does filibuster raising the debt limit, immediately nuke the filibuster for voting rights and debt limit.

they won't because the debt limit would hurt the gop and dems equally neither party wants the us to default, this happens every time we have to raise the debt limit. It's framed as a partisan fight when it's just both sides jockeying for press coverage to be the good guy
