We finished our 1st certified intensive short course at @mutabit on "Hypertextual memory, community learning and digital moldable tools", featuring @TiddlyWiki , @HedgeDocOrg, @hypothes_is @feenkcom's #GToolkit. Here is (a little bit of) how we used them.

Growing knowledge, one tiddler at a time. This ought to be @TiddlyWiki's motto.

In the upcoming beta, when you create a @TiddlyWiki notebook collection with oneplaybook.app anonymously with the backend option set to local device, you'll get a randomly named colorful, google-esque, anonymous animal avatar!

an optimized ViewTemplate of the [[Discography]] that is more in line w/ the @TiddlyWiki philosophy of atomizing the structure of tiddlers. Instead of embed codes, <img> tags + lots of markup for album info, all of that is generated at the template level via fields #tiddlywiki

I have 4 Tiddlywiki docs, in parallel for different operating modes/flow states. One for each cyenefin space. Tend to only share recipes from “complicated” & step-by-step instructions from “clear” spaces. Use “chaos” for aggregation & “complex” for exploration and experiments.

1. As I have ideas-capture in one Tiddlywiki doc from phone or computer browser. 2. Then write out the ones related to specific tags on post-it to physically move & cluster. I “talk” wt my hands & it’s part of my exploration/synthesis. 3. Assemble outcome in second Tiddlywiki doc

Tiddlywiki is tool of choice for conscious & emergent cognitive capture. Post-it notes for synthesis & blending. Then whatever vehicle for sharing wt specific audience. I don’t “think” in papers, reports or presentations. Those are standardized forms for packaging & consumption.
Really, I've spent ~ 10 years repeatedly trying to design something better than a wiki, only to discover, at multiple levels, these invisible illegible emergent magic qualities-without-a-name that are difficult to produce, but which wikis generate effortlessly.

TiddlyWiki really is a remarkable bit of software. I’m reminded of this daily.

So yes, definitively try to combine such tools. They're pretty versatile and will serve you well in a lot of contexts. 4/4

I use such combination (TiddlyWiki + Fossil + Lepiter) actively and I'm teaching about it to several non-coders in a recent short course (we are starting our 6 of 8 week tomorrow). We use project based learning using @nicolaspetton projectify.wiki. 3/

As @Jermolene says, by making such connections between tools (and the people & communities around them) you get the best of all worlds: Lepiter's data narratives and live coding, TiddlyWiki's SPA emergent/agile knowledge management and Fossil's versioned distributed storage 2/

Look Fossil SCM as a TiddlyWiki back end for my #Starforged wiki (prose/game by @ShawnTomkin, art by @joshmeehanart, data by @r_sek ) at [1]. I connect them using @feenkcom's #Lepiter. Timeline and files at [2] [1] mutabit.com/repos.fossil/502… [2] mutabit.com/repos.fossil/502… 1/

My bit in an awesome project by The National Museum of Computers @tnmoc to capture memories of the BBC Micro on its 40th anniversary. It was done on Zoom, but they’ve added some excellent b-roll invidious.fdn.fr/watch?v=wH8CzhGR…
