I'm seeing a lot of people say "well you don't have to cater to TFG when writing, or play with them," which is great when you're talking about a malicious actor at a table, but you can't actually avoid the process of "how might people misunderstand this?" When writing a ruleset.
A part of game design I don't think we talk about enough is how much time we dedicate to making a game That-Fucking-Guy Proof.
Whenever we have a great or cool idea, we immediately turn to "how would the most obnoxious player imaginable exploit and ruin this for everyone?"

rules heavy game stuff is just as valid as very narrative first improvisational stuff, it's just perspectives and taste at the end of the day, and having both and more in the medium is more enriching for the medium than just trying to force a single thing
