"We believe #Brexit is the primary driver of the high & widening inflation differential between the UK & its European peers," argue @LucasRengifoKel and I
Brexit amplified the inflationary impact of a simultaneous common shock. #PIIEChartspiie.com/research/piie-chart…
We have a winner…
The best Tory lie so far
Grant Shapps today on Sky News saying Johnson was “clearly not partying” because he’d “lost his mum”
Which is odd
…given she died 10 months after the party
Our greased piglet of a Prime Minister has wriggled and writhed out of every promise broken, every rule violated, every law breached.
He can't wriggle out of this one.
EXCL: @ITVNews has obtained pictures of Boris Johnson drinking at a No10 party during lockdown in November 2020.
The photos cast fresh doubt on the PM's repeated claims he was unaware of rule-breaking in No10 during the pandemic.

We really need to stop making it so hard for NHS staff to go to work
A huge number of NHS workers have to cope with inadequate public transport, insufficient and unsafe parking for cars and bikes, and exorbitant costs
Something needs to be done urgently - please RT if you agree
Today’s Times.
This is the man who won’t impose a windfall tax on profiteering energy giants, who defends non-dom tax evasion, who does nothing as the cost of living spirals, who coolly looks on as poverty, hunger, cold & fear eat into the lives of millions in Britain 😔
What this means is that JCVI has effectively given up on trying to prevent infections and that will have consequences (bad ones) for long covid. Pretty certain there will be a large winter wave (US predicting 100m infections, Germany also predicting large winter wave). 1/2
🚨NEW🚨 Most Britons won't receive an autumn booster under new guidance outlined by the UK's Joint Committee on Vaccination and Immunisation. Rollout will be limited to care home residents, health and social care workers and people aged 65+.
I’ve never left my desk… it’s just in a place that saves me £120 worth of diesel a week… An economy driven by spend on travel to work is not a sensible option for so many reasons, not least keeping carbon footprint low!
This started decades ago. This is further erosion, possibly now critical. Their plan to outsource, contract in and fragment has already broken major parts of a unified system into marketable but less efficient chunks. They would sell their grandmothers if they could! #vogons
It’s absolutely outrageous Government Ministers are now pretending they had no idea of the chaos Johnson’s “oven ready” deal would cause
Didn’t they read their own impact assessment which said the protocol would mean checks, costs & an increase in the price of high street goods!
Does that mean as a member of the NHS I’ll get paid for all the extra hours i already do for nothing? Or do i stop doing those hours & work for an agency that sells my time back to the NHS at gross profit? If i gave up meal times i’d need less toilet breaks & could work these too
“There is still a small minority who refuse to do the right thing” said Home Secretary Priti Patel angrily announcing £800 house party fines in January 2021
She was right. Most were in Downing Street
That’s the story
