A huge number of NHS workers have to cope with inadequate public transport, insufficient and unsafe parking for cars and bikes, and exorbitant costs

What this means is that JCVI has effectively given up on trying to prevent infections and that will have consequences (bad ones) for long covid. Pretty certain there will be a large winter wave (US predicting 100m infections, Germany also predicting large winter wave). 1/2

I’ve never left my desk… it’s just in a place that saves me £120 worth of diesel a week… An economy driven by spend on travel to work is not a sensible option for so many reasons, not least keeping carbon footprint low!

This started decades ago. This is further erosion, possibly now critical. Their plan to outsource, contract in and fragment has already broken major parts of a unified system into marketable but less efficient chunks. They would sell their grandmothers if they could! #vogons

Does that mean as a member of the NHS I’ll get paid for all the extra hours i already do for nothing? Or do i stop doing those hours & work for an agency that sells my time back to the NHS at gross profit? If i gave up meal times i’d need less toilet breaks & could work these too
