I agree. I would add that where I live in MA, we have an assault weapon and high capacity magazine ban, red flag laws, background checks, and entire areas where discharging a gun is a crime. We have the 2nd lowest gun death rate (after Hawaii) in the country. Gun access matters.

Seems as good a time as any to remind people that loggers, roofers, construction workers, sanitation workers, truckers, miners, agricultural workers, etc. all have statistically more dangerous jobs than cops—and if they refuse to do those jobs they get fired, not more money.
