This reminds me of the bloke in work who, after taking a call from a woman called Mercedes remarked, 'Imagine being named after a car'.

Don't forget to factor in the £550 a month for your season ticket. Rent isn't the only thing that people can't afford!

A new left party? None of the new left parties we already have take your fancy?

I had a 20 minute nap in the car just now. On the plus side I was parked outside the Nisa Local and I'm now on the sofa with a meal deal and their cheapest bottle of wine. Soon be away again.

So we get Starmer out of the way and the Tories go into the next election with Johnson still in charge? What's not to like?

Thinking about it, I'd never heard of the vast majority of Doctors before they were cast, even though many of them already had a pretty extensive CV. Since the reboot, only Eccleston and Capaldi were familiar names to me.

When I lived in Port Talbot there used to be a choice of Labour or 'Ratepayer'. Tories knew how futile it would be to stand under their own name.

Yes that's the theory but as I pointed out, the current inflation crisis is not because people have too much money to spend.

I'd be more interested to know how an interest rates rise is meant to help given that a) This is not demand led inflation, b) The economy is forecast to contract, c) The likely rise in mortgage costs will nudge the inflation rate upwards.

I don't get why people spoil their ballot. It's not as though anyone is going to read whatever pithy remarks you've written. Some random person is going to look at it for a split second and chuck it on the pile with the other ones. Save yourself the walk to the polling station.
