Beyond parody, and yet so utterly predictable.
Taken by a friend at the Wellcome Collection. This is real.

1 in 3 women experience violence. Environmental factors, including resource scarcity, are impacting the scale & severity of this violence. So on this #16DaysofActivism we need to look at the relationship between environmental pressures & violence against women & girls to #EndGBV

So happy to see two of the most unassuming, hardworking campaigners for animal welfare Lorraine and Chris Platt being recognised in House of Commons today. I’m so proud to be a small part of their team at @ConservativeAWF thank you @BlueFoxCAFH @chrissyplatt & @stileman_sophia
Thank you @Jane_Stevenson_ and @HenrySmithUK for highlighting the work of CAWF during the Hunting Trophies (Import Prohibition) Bill Second Reading. We are thankful for all of the kind support we receive from MPs who work tirelessly to advance animal welfare. nitter.fdn.fr/i/web/status/159…

Thank you to all who speak out to end trophy hunting imports including our Patron ⁦@ZacGoldsmith⁩ who has led a Westminster Hall debate, hosted parliamentary events and spoken out for a ban for years #BacktheBan zacgoldsmith.com/news/zac-le…

None of this money goes to the Chinese state. It’s for things that matter to us - ie trying to close down the illegal wildlife trade, legislation to stop the import to China of illegal timber etc
What in the absolute name of God are we doing sending £51m of taxpayers money to the Chinese? They don’t wish us well and they don’t need our foreign aid. This government has totally and utterly lost the plot.

Visiting Mele Beach and the school to hear about work @WSBTheatre are doing to help deliver educational programmes around climate action, and had the pleasure of seeing the new mangroves planted to make the school more resilient to sea storms. @ZacGoldsmith @FCDOGovUK

It's never been in my portfolio sadly. But as an MP I raised the issue more than any other from any Party. No govt has ever fully got to grips with this, and it remains a ticking time bomb.

I have always supported stronger regulations for the environment and specifically I have long advocated an absolute ban on the use of critically important antibiotics on farms - as well as a complete ban on the routine use of all antibiotics on farms.

More than half of all antibiotics are used on factory farms -keeping animals alive in conditions they couldn’t otherwise survive. Resistance is building, we are losing the ‘miracle cure’ & we risk entering a horrifying post antibiotic age. This is greatest health threat we face
Hugely important story by ⁦@Andrew_Wasley⁩ on antibiotic resistance. If we are to stop overuse of antibiotics - which we must if we don’t want to destroy modern medicine - then we need to hold the big food companies and retailers to account theguardian.com/global/2022/…
