How old is your oldest working floppy💾 that you made yourself? So far mine are some c64 BBS floppies I made back in 1989-90 & Amiga Kickstart/Workbench. They look scary but still work, sure I have game disks much older somewhere. #Working #FloppyDisk #RetroComputing #DiskDrive

A vast majority of my C64 floppies that I bought used from a friend in 1983 for $10 still work 100%. They were in a hot storage unit in Tucson for almost 25 years (115°F in the summer). Amazing... I have two year old flash drives with higher failure rates.

Very NICE! Mine have been in our hot/freezing attic for 20 some years, our summers are not Arizona hot but we average 100°F in most of July. So many folks said they would not work, yet they do with out missing a track! I think the secret is the SW is a DRY HEAT! 😉🤣🤣

I have some disks going back to 83-84 that work without issue. In fact I'd say 98% of all my old disks still work.

I have a bunch of Apple II floppies that I made back in the early 80’s that still work. They are mostly Maxell brand. The elephant ones are all bad now.

I have some floppies from 83/84 that all still work. They lived in my Texas attic and cooked in the summer heat for 20+ years. You gotta love Floppies!

Only a few weeks old. All of my floppies previous to the last couple of years were lost long ago. I have many floppies from the 80s. A couple possibly from the late 70s. But they are not ones I made.
