elvis is absurd (in the full spectrum of ways) & so exhilarating. even in death, parker controls his image & story. butler is unreal. by the time real footage hits at the end i was a mess. expected editing to undercut but its chaos was unhinged yet so focused in precise intent
if i <3 a film, that doesn't mean it all works. it means it made me feel, there is craftsmanship, care, identity no matter the production scale, where the good, the bad, the ugly all feels rewarding to engage w/. something that i take w/ me, that only knows how to be itself
