People who block housing should be forced to answer if they think there’s enough housing not only for the current moment, but 5 and 10 years ahead. Doesn’t seem unreasonable.

There is a 5.6% chance if you ask a NIMBY who talks about gentrification why it was ok for them to gentrify a neighborhood when they moved there... that they will have a complete multi-month mental breakdown. Those are pretty good odds, absolutely ask the question.

Mention ‘taco trucks on every corner’ and I will RT.
The highlight of my day? Getting tacos al pastor with my team. 🌮🌮🌮 It made me realize that I want to hear the Denver mayoral candidates’ plan to put a taco truck on every corner.

HBO keeps making a great case why scheduled viewing is better than bingeing all at once. Just look at the uptick of viewers week over week! #TLOU

Would you look at that. Just as predicted.
A 5.6% increase in vacancy across Denver metro apartments coincided with a $32 drop in rent. And, yes, that $32 drop is significant — rents have dropped over $20 in a single quarter only a handful of times since 1981. buff.ly/3wtKtOy

Nobody deserves to be a victim of a crime. Not your mother, not your brother, not your neighbor, not even the rude person who isn’t nice to you. Reminder for the extremely cynical types who are losing their humanity.

Man, the intense desires of negative polarization are so strong, people are saying the wildest shit out loud it’s really something.

There is no false dichotomy to voting yes or no to change a golf course easement. It’s a literal dichotomy. Yes vote - Approves development, green lights housing & park. No vote - Rejects development, remains unused golf course. Next step uncertain. 🤷‍♂️

If you read this and still struggle. Imagine you are talking to a sexual assault victim. Is your reflex to diminish their experience, and say flippant BS like, “oh well lady, welcome to the city!” I hope not. Reflect on that.

Nice white liberal ladies larping as communists, while upholding NIMBY values for rich donors is a vibe. If you aren’t laughing at this, you are the joker.
Here's 'Jobs per permit' vs rent growth - places with more jobs per permit (aka not building enough housing) have faster rent growth

There are cities that build lots of housing and where housing is cheap (green). There are cities that build little housing and are expensive (purple). There is no city in America that builds lots of housing and is also expensive. That giant red box is completely empty.

I’m getting mad about it now because I didn’t get mad about it originally. That is my right.
