Dear @Apple While i appreciate being notified this is potential spam, it would be really helpful if you would actually SHOW THE NUMBER so i can determine that for myself (in this case, it was my waste removal company and was NOT in fact, spam)

This scene was so damn cool, esp given the origin of that guitar
When all the parking in your city is done via a private third party solution, and that third party decides to suspend your account bc someone ELSE has tried to spam your acct, does it mean you just cant park anywhere?

For all that the smell guy talked about wanting to clean up fake accounts on twitter, its funny that you cant report an account for being a fake account anymore
Apple's claim is that it bans other browsers for security AND NOT because it's protecting its 70b of AppStore Revenue or 15b of Google Search Revenue in Safari. The CMA says the ban not only doesn't protect security it could make it worse! 🧵 Lets dig in...

I dont even go to McDonald’s that often. The reward points are useless. You cant use them in conjunction with any deal. They can only be used with specific items. (I cannot get a normal coffee, I could get an Iced coffee; I dont want an iced coffee) What is the point of these?

Some of my friends have been using their regular calendar app and reminding themselves to buy papaya juice (or whatever) every 28 days. They have it send a daily reminder for 4 days before they have to run to the grocery store, also. Some have switched to 6 days.
The difference between now and the last time that abortion was illegal in the United States is that we live in an era of unprecedented digital surveillance.

Dear @apple, when an alarm is currently in “snoozing” countdown, it is very unapparent how to cancel it.
Just a reminder, if you're going to any action: 1. Disable Face ID, fingerprint, and all biometric auth on your phone _technically_ the courts have said the police _cannot_ unlock your phone via FaceID...but police are also not supposed to cover badge #s cnet.com/tech/mobile/police-…

2. Set your passkey to something that is 10+ numbers long As of 2020, it took over 12yrs to crack a 10-char pass. It's likely less now, but still long enough nytimes.com/2020/10/21/techn… cool trick: choose a sentence w 10 words. Count the length of each word. Remember the sentence.

3. Assume all cleartext comms are being sniffed. Use Signal. While there _are_ ways to scrape data from Signal, it requires your phone be compromised, or that you're using an unsigned version of the app. Check that you're using the official version. trustedreviews.com/news/is-s…

4. If your phone can rotate MAC addresses when it interfaces with networks, be sure to enable this. iOS: extremenetworks.com/extreme-… Android: source.android.com/devices/t… It defaults to "on" for Android v10+ and iOS v14+ Make sure it's still enabled.

5. Disable Bluetooth (and AirDrop and all that) on your device. This may mean you lose access to certain peripherals (earbuds, etc). Attackers can (and will) sniff for easy targets via Bluetooth. Don't be an easy target. pandasecurity.com/en/mediace…

6. Get in touch with an atty beforehand, or read up on NLG legal aid and find the hotline. Get a sharpie and write down the phone number on your body (inside of forearm is fine). Assume everything on you will be confiscated in a mass arrest. nlg.org/chapters/#massdefens…

7. Practice good OpSec. Don't post photos of any action to social (INCLUDING DISCORD AND SIMILAR). Disable iCloud / Google Drive / Dropbox / etc. autouploading. Cloud storage is your enemy here.

8. If possible, don't even bring a phone. If you must, factory reset it first if you can. Cops _will_ try to aggressively manipulate you into unlocking your phone. If the action is big enough, they will attempt to intercept data. theintercept.com/2020/07/31/…
ESPECIALLY because of the additional commentary by Thomas, feeling this poem a lot, this week.
