Why should Keir be sorry? You should be mad at Tories making people wait (and it's way more than 3 weeks now) for cancer treatment, that they have to pay out-of-pocket.

They have to wait longer now because the NHS turned into a Covid Health Service and all the GPs locked themselves away. Massive waste of money on the Nightingale Hospitals and Test and Trace.

We wait longer because after 11 yrs of Conservative govt it is underfunded. It worked much better under Blair/brown. Those who do not value out NHS should look to America where diabetics die because they can't afford insulin & kids die because of lack of dental care ..it's scary

Underfunded??? It gets over a £1bn every 3 days. How on earth is it underfunded? It is no longer fit for purpose, it is filled with middle managers who do not have a clue what they're doing who drain money away from where it is needed. It needs complete reform not more money.

Good grief mam have you any idea how much heart transplants, bypass surgery, chemotherapy etc cost ..not to mentioned covid and an ageing population .. I hope you remain well ..remember your health insurance won't cover anything g chronic or age related. Good luck 🤷‍♀️

Not to mention treatment for drink and drugs. Or cosmetic surgeries. You must be either blind or a fool to see how the NHS is abused. Or how the "world beating" NHS paid out £83bn in malpractice claims in 2018-19, so tell me again how that's value for money.

You think you'd get better value for money paying insurance 🤔 .. let us know how you get on ..good luck..you'll need it!!!!

Enjoy having your head in the sand rather than opening discussion to the issues the NHS faces

Accepted. Money and review of private firm involvement, internal market etc. But not discussion re exclusion of treatment for people you deem unworthy (drink & drug related etc). Where does that stop? Who would be next on the exclusion list. It's a dangerous and slippery slope 🤷‍♀️

Incredulous that you mention private firm involvement yet in the same thread praise the work of Blair and brown? Have a think who lumbered us with PFI?? Take away poorly managed PFI contracts and clinical negligence claims, the NHS would have more money than God.

Under Blair and Brown, waiting times at A&E were steady, not going up despite immigration or 2007 financial crisis. Immediately as Tories elected in May 2010, they start growing exponentially. Crystal clear who's to blame.
