University in California did a comprehensive study of school/mass/spree shooters of all ages & found that the common link between them ALL is a vehement hatred of women (80% had a history of domestic violence). Most killed a female relative/gf/wife immediately prior to the event
17/18 year old boys keep going on shooting sprees. That’s a fucking epidemic that needs to be addressed.

You’re telling me this bit from Carlin wouldn’t cause a week-long Twitter discourse?

But the text above is identical to what Chappelle has said. “Campus revolutionaries” pushing identity politics. Your mistake is putting it down to conservatism, whereas all comedians we’re discussing are left. They address increasing censoriousness of right and left.

I think he had a lot to say on this very point

A very nuanced take from Carlin, and pretty much exactly what Chappelle/Gervais have said, but much more eloquently.

Oh, the international community did look into it. Strangely, there was a lot of torture cells in the DPR since 2014 and suppression of Ukrainians who did not agree with Russian intervention. Presumably they should face the same response (invasion)? hrw.org/news/2014/08/28/ukra…
2
There was shelling from DPR into Ukrainian territory in violation of Minsk Protocol, killing Ukrainians. Should Ukraine have then invaded Russia? I don’t get the logic

Why did Russia attack Kyiv in a dispute between Donetsk People’s Republic and Ukraine?

huh? It’s possible to be anti-conservative, left-wing even, and oppose political correctness and language codes to avoid offense, as Carlin was. In fact, that’s the identical political stance of Gervais and Chappelle too.

If you recall this specific bit, it wasn’t at all about mental illness. It was about political correctness and militarism.

I disagree with that characterization of Gervais/Chappelle, but sure there’s plenty of Carlin bits that would melt down Twitter if he was alive today. Here’s his bit on eating disorders: invidious.fdn.fr/LH5DCIf1bRI

The favored clip of Carlin is his specific response to Andrew Dice Clay. In his 2008 book, Carlin makes clear where he stands on the political correctness divide - “fascism with manners”

I’ve seen this happen before. Someone tries to be progressive by not saying “black”, but misremembers the approved vocab “person of color” as “colored”. Of course, no one will accept it as a mistake, this person must be a closet neo-Confederate.

Good point. Reminds me of Albanian sworn virgins. Women could escape patriarchal society by living as men, in a ceremony where they swear to be virgins on penalty of death. No one would think that’s a good thing but it’s now retconned as trans acceptance en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Alba…

That’s just the name they gave it. All stairs are named after different countries. But the company making + selling it is Chinese

Beating the S&P is not automatically proof that you’re doing something wrong, it’s the whole point of trading. Otherwise no one would, and just put it all in an S&P index fund.

Nah, economic crises of any type are not good for any politician. Also it’s a complex supply chain issue, it’s not something that can be fixed as an October surprise.

EXCL: @ITVNews has obtained pictures of Boris Johnson drinking at a No10 party during lockdown in November 2020. The photos cast fresh doubt on the PM's repeated claims he was unaware of rule-breaking in No10 during the pandemic. See all images here: itv.com/news/2022-05-23/excl…
