Ministers don't need to know their brief, just stock interview answers to close down uncomfortable lines of enquiry.

People are reacting to Sophie Corcoran and Darren Grimes. Just block them. They thrive on winding you up and getting a reaction. See how well they fare if nobody reacts to their provocative tweets and rants.

Went into town and seen a homeless guy I know from the hostel I visit. I gave him a score and a nosey woman says β€œ You do know you’re contributing to organised crime giving him money ? β€œ I replied β€œ Mrs, I contribute to organised crime when I pay my taxes to your Tory pals, ok ?”

A windfall tax would be a step to helping the poor prior to nationalising utilities. This would also help revive the economy.

The growth economy is destroying our habitat. No need for growth to rescue the poorest, we made too much "stuff" already. Making rich even richer won't make the poor richer too, and it certainly won't feed them.
Liz Truss tells us how important it is to grow the economy. She doesn’t grasp that there are desperate people who cannot afford to eat and heat. They need to be rescued NOW. They literally can’t wait for the economy to grow.

The distribution of money from a windfall tax would have been spent to boost the domestic UK economy.
The trickle down theory fails when tax is not paid and money is hoarded off shore rather than used to drive the domestic economy.

Perhaps they didn't want to reduce shareholders generous dividends.

A minister campaigning to remain must have known the economic consequences of this brexit agreement.

Did Truss really just say β€œno one can predict economic problems” on Sky News? Well maybe not all of them , but many of us did exactly that when we opposed this stupid hard version of Brexit which is making things worse IMHO
