A reminder that Boris Johnson was “furious” at people laughing at the mere idea of a party. Imagine how livid he must be at seeing a picture of Boris Johnson actually attending one.

Kwasi Kwarteng claimed Boris Johnson wasn’t lying when he said crime is down - as long as you exclude fraud. In other news, waiting lists are down as long as you exclude people waiting.
Replying to @davidschneider
The waiting list has steadily increased under the Tories since 2010 It's not because of covid 1/2

Before Covid: People dying in A&E corridors 17000 beds cut 106,000 staff short 43000 nurses short 11000 doctors short Record waiting times Social care in crisis Then they failed to protect the NHS The Tories are to blame for the NHS breaking, not Covid theguardian.com/society/2022…

Remember when the High Priests of Brexit derided expert analysis showing that Brexit would increase the cost of living… …and instead told us that Brexit would dramatically drive down living costs across the board?

Tories awash with Russian-linked money (£1.93m under Johnson) 14 ministers received donations linked with Russia UK is a laundromat for dirty Russian money Govt won't act on Russia report they tried to suppress But I’m sure Putin will take the threat of sanctions seriously.

I for one am amazed that a government that wrote off £4.3bn in Covid fraud and whose anti-fraud minister resigned because of their failure to tackle fraud, has decided fraud is no longer a crime.
Kwasi Kwarteng, in a bid to defend Boris Johnson, just argued people don’t really consider fraud a crime.

I’m deleting a tweet from 2010 which could be disrespectful to the GRT community. I’ve always believed anti-racism is a process. I’ve made many mistakes in the past and will no doubt make more. But I’ll continue to try my best to support communities under attack and fight racism

There are other tweets I’m ashamed of now and would never tweet now and I apologise for them. I shall remove any I can’t stand by It smarts to see them pointed out but if we don’t listen to those pointing out our mistakes we won’t get better. Sorry to anyone who feels let down.

And yes, I should have worded my apology better so it’s not a nonpology. The main thing I want now is to continue to show support for the GRT community as they face their rights being removed by the government. I hope my past ignorance won’t distract from that. #KillTheBill

I’m going to reach out to the GRT community and educate myself. Which is after all what I asked people to do on antisemitism. They face immense prejudice (which I see I contributed to) and attacks on their rights from this government. I hope very much to be a proper ally to them

I’m sure those having to choose between heating and eating will be pleased that we’re keeping prices high so energy companies still like us.
#Phillips - In France energy prices have risen by 4% & it's 54% in the UK... what have the French got that we don't have, except maybe a better government? Kwasi Kwarteng - They have scared a lot of investors in France...we're securing jobs.... #SundayMorning

Congrats to Steve Barclay on being appointed Boris Johnson’s chief of staff. He’ll definitely bring order and consistency to Downing Street. In unrelated news, as Brexit Secretary, Steve Barclay voted against a bill that he himself had spoken in favour of minutes earlier.

Interesting to see Nadine Dorries condemning Jimmy Carr’s joke about gypsies when her own government is bringing in laws that remove rights from the Gypsy, Roma and Traveller community. That’s how the process that ended in the Holocaust began. #KillTheBill #NeverAgain

The Holocaust didn’t start with the death camps. It started with the demonising of minorities and the passing of laws which slowly and then rapidly removed their rights. #KillTheBill #NeverAgain
