Completely agree. It’s “cloud native” vs “cloud hosted.”
If it’s got instances, VPCs, security groups, etc. it’s the latter and I’m less intrigued.
I'm a simple man.
If I see an #AWS service requires VPC, I'm not interested.

Just finished migrating a personal website from #EC2 to #AWS #S3 static hosting. It took less than 30 minutes. Lower cost. Less maintenance. More secure. Better performance. A no brainer.
At this point, ignoring the benefits of #Serverless might be a sign of insanity.

Every time I get a new laptop my annoyance that Telnet is not installed by default is reignited. Really #Microsoft? Why must you make life difficult despite yourself?

Point 2: 'DynamoDB perf is consistent.'
DynamoDB is going to perform the same at 1GB and 10GB as at 1TB and 10TB. It will perform the same in your dev environment as in production.
This is important and underrated.

If remote work during a global crisis had turned out to be even modestly less effective, that would have been a reason to consider it post-pandemic.
The fact that most teams seem to have just pushed on without missing a beat means the office as we know it is never coming back.
Recognizing that most of us have personally been less “productive” at times during this pandemic, do you also feel that your *team* has been less productive while remote? Anecdotally, I feel we’ve been accomplishing at least as much.
