15 August 1856. Socialist, Keir Hardie, was born in Newhouse, Scotland. He helped found the Labour Party in 1900, and served as its first parliamentary leader from 1906 to 1908. The original aim was to have trade unions represented in parliament to improve workers’ rights.

Dear Mogg Don't want to stir the green ears of envy but I'm on my usual PM's whack while good old Mr Mobile has sorted our wedding and now this spree on a bloomin' yacht round the Caesarian Sea. And well stocked up on bog rolls from the supermarché! Andrex essentialis Boris

I was filming with a Jewish WW2 British Army veteran. Over lunch a member of the team made a throw away comment about all politicians being the same. He said quietly but with steel in his voice. "In the 1930s we learned that politicians are. Absolutely. Not. All. The. Same."

France has just frozen gas prices for 365 days of 2022. Norway has said the state will cover 90% of households’ extra electricity charges. In the UK there is a 200% + increase in bills and a state contribution of under 14%. It’s rip off UK.

Dear @trussliz, as a Jew I'd just like to say I don't have conservative values, have not set up a business and do not need protecting from wokedom. Please keep your stereotypes to your bigoted self.

Suella Braverman wants to dump the ECHR, she is heavily involved with Freeports & Charter Cities that will be sold off to private firms. Firms who will be able make up their own rules, e.g. hours of work, wages, etc and no private enterprise wants to be burdened with court cases!

Lets hope the Trump investigation by the FBI stimulates some action from our equivalent (is there one?) or the police over our Liar in chief! Let’s hope he and others are quaking in their boots as they see there is accountability and justice awaiting them! #Trump #ToryCriminals

Treatment which was highly effective and had kept his symptoms at bay for 20 years. He is now in pain and has some tremor back. This will exacerbate his alzheimers and other conditions. Please advise what the plans are to replace DR F and allow dystonia patients vital treatment

If you’re a Tory supporting Sunak in his mission to make students do “proper” subjects which lead to jobs, you should have your TV, radio, streaming services, cinema, theatre, opera and arts access removed. Spend your time appreciating the work of accountants and loss adjusters.
