I'm happy to join the @UnicornSolClub, by getting an NFT on day one! I don't think of it as buying a jpg, I want to support @marcusjcarey who's been nothing but helpful to lots of people including me. Thanks Marcus for all you do. Excited to be part of this with you.

Why not buy a print? Also supports the artist, with like 90% less smug.

Oh that's easy. This is more of an investment, that while I am holding it, I feel like I'm part of the journey with the team who made it. And when the team does good work, my investment feels better (and potentially makes me money). Owning a poster just feels like a consumer.

Buy original art from the artist then; you can actually hold it, in your hands

You can print and hold it in your hands. I did the art btw, it's original.

I think you might be missing a lot of the interesting connection points which are currently being made between the digital and real worlds, which IMO is the essence of the metaverse

Works can easily begin their life in a digital form @AJFarkas! Example, as in the case of a writer penning a book for publication into a physical form. People create physical works from the NFTs they buy all the time! Digital NFTs made watercolors below via @ArtbyBethC ⬇️

NFTs still introduce artificial scarcity into a world of abundance. this will only result in reintroducing class struggle into an environment where it needn’t exist.
