Last month I travelled to flood-hit Dadu in Sindh to investigate the extreme hardships faced by displaced pregnant women and newborn children. The situation is dire - but a dedicated group of relief workers provide hope. Read their story here: vogue.com/article/pakistan-f…

How do I make sense of the F-9 park incident? This city is so damn unsafe yes but the fact that this keeps happening and no one bats an eye? I cannot make sense of it. Is there any safe space for women in this country?

It's horrifying seeing the news of the #F9Park incident but I'm shocked at how men are asking for a ban on women's access to the park after dark or asking why she was there at 8pm with a colleague. A women was raped-on gunpoint, by several men & we still find a way to blame her

A girl went for a walk in Islamabad's F-9 park and was raped and stripped by two men. In a public space, in the capital of Pakistan. What a shame. I'm horrified

According to the statement of the rape victim of F9 incident, she said that after abusing and raping her, the culprits told her not to leave home after sunset, consider this is a warning. So leaving home is a sin but committing the crime of rape is not. We’re a hopeless nation!

increasing police at parks is not the answer. the police also harass, rape & murder us. security cant be ensured by men with guns, it has to be arranged in the mind first. women have to be seen as human beings, something no member or profession of this society is willing to do

A woman was raped in the largest public park in the middle of the capital city - one of the few public spaces that women have access to. Raped at gunpoint and then told by her perpetrators that this should be a warning; that she should not have been out for a walk after sunset.

Fellas the hazing you went through in the locker room or in certain groups (whether it be military, frats, etc) like stripping you down or putting their junk on ya head while you sleep or any other homoerotic thing they did to you was in fact sexual assault.

Little lessons from 2022 that I’ll take into the new year: 1. Consistency takes you much further than talent. 2. If you wait until you’re ready you’ll be waiting your whole life. You’re scared? Do it scared.

3. You’ll find exactly what you’re looking for. If you look for obstacles, you’ll find obstacles. If you look for the way, you’ll find the way. Just make sure you’re looking in the right place. 4. It’s not too late.

5. Take some time out to remind yourself how so much of what you’d prayed for 5 years ago has already arrived. 6. Don’t make big decisions when emotions are running high. Wait for things to settle, practice the pause.

7. Let people do exactly what they want so you can find out who they are. And once you find out, believe it. 8. Don’t play small. 9. Take your work seriously. But don’t take yourself too seriously.

I am absolutely horrified by this comment about Meghan Markle by Jeremy Clarkson. The hatred. The obsession. The mention of her naked. This proves everything M&H are saying. Absolutely jaw-dropping, terrifying misogyny & abuse here from Clarkson. metro.co.uk/2022/12/17/jerem…

Underlying this assumption is another misplaced belief: that family is somehow non-essential, frivolous or tiresome. Whereas family law sets the foundation of a healthy society. This ‘belief’ + rampant dismissal of any sector that is connected to women is very calculated, btw.
The usual mind set is that Female Advocates are often categorised as being only good at Family Law. Whilst many may take that to heart, we at "Zahrah S. Vayani & Associates" take pride in offering a variety of legal services in different areas of Law including Family Law.

Moral panic about homosexuality. Moral panic about women dancing on tv. Where's the panic about enforced disappearances, about illegal detentions, about violence against women, about generals making millions while in power, about the fact that the majority can't make ends meet?
