It is NOT a metroidvania (I love metroidvanias but this is not one). It is a level based 2D platformer inspired mostly on shovel knight but also on the megaman series.

Someone told me about the other possible interpretations of my phrasing when I announced our game. Just to be clear, the game is not done yet. It is not completed. We have just one stage nearly completed and a second one about one third completed.

More than one person naturally related our game to Halloween. Although she is a witch, and the scene portrayed in the video has a night setting with a big moon behind, this is not a Halloween themed game.

We are taking inspiration mostly from shovel knight and the megaman (classic and X) series. Every stage should have a different theme like, for example, in megaman 11 you have a construction site themed level, an artic base themed level and so on and so forth.

Thanks! Yep, that's a broom, because she is a witch =P. I admit the bounce attack sprite is really bad right now, but that's already one of my endless todo task list
