I can't vote but I choose to go for 2D because I love old games such as Commandos and newer games such as Rayman origins, Children of morta, and it really inspired me a lot.

2D pixel art because it is the only art style I'm aware of that has a technical approach that I can handle. I actually couldn't draw to save my own life but do (almost)all the pixel art for my game.

I love that pixel art can be so different and have a lot of variations. You do great artistic work!

I can draw pixel art but I can't model on blender, also I don't know much C# or C++ to make a game on unity or UE but I'm fine on gml 🥰

I am attracted to testing blender after I finish my project. I took 2D (or 2.5D) but I'm curious about all the aspects of game dev ;) Do you make your own maps or is it randomly generated (I looked at your map post)

Damn, I made a 2.5D game, the z-direction is even harder than in 3D :D

I went with 3D for my game, because it gives me more feature opportunities with the third dimension and I am more accustomed making 3D art (because I can´t draw that good🙈) 🐾

I want to learn a bit how to model myself (cause I never did it and I'm curious). I'm still wondering how tough it is to texture a model. Can you export the "surface shape" of the model in 2D and draw or it, or something like that? You can't paint directly on the model isn't it?

I chose 3D because those are the games I like to play (mainly 3rd person games) and you better off making something you like if you want to stay motivated 😉

True thing! That's why I picked 2.5D. Did you know about 3D before starting?
