Councils are fighting a losing battle for staff, with supermarkets offering wage rises and perks such as free food. We need urgent government action to address the recruitment & retention crisis. theguardian.com/society/2022…

These jobs should pay median income - and do, in humanely run wealthy countries.

A winter while covid cases are rising schools aren't safe millions have long covid & the Government won't prescribe Evusheld for clinically vulnerable people who have been left with no help. Vaccines don't work for immunecompromised people & the NHS is at breaking point. 😢

And why, with the NHS short of staff, has the government capped training for new doctors at 7,000? #NHS #PrivatisationPlans

Amazing isn't it. If you tell the EU workers who have been doing these jobs for years to go away they ... go away. If you make it harder for workers to come here to do these jobs they ... don't come. The solution is simple. REJOIN THE SINGLE MARKET.

Don’t disagree with ‘join the single market’ but that is not the solution to the social care crisis. The solution is to pay care staff a decent wage FFS!!!

Over 100,000 nurse and doctor vacancies in the NHS... all deliberate neglect by this Government to force people into believing we have a failing system when in truth this who debacle has been engineered by the ruling elite.

I read government are to step up sanctions on the unemployed claiming benefits. That story needs telling too. Staff must be willing and qualified
