The rollout of voter ID is an utter shambles. At the current rate it would take 8 years to issue documents to all who could need them, but we’ve only got 3 months. The Tory plan is unworkable, unnecessary and set to lock millions of people out of voting theguardian.com/politics/202…

The Conservatives have got their priorities all wrong. During a cost of living crisis when people are struggling to make ends meet, it is an outrage that they would rather spend money on disenfranchising them.

Didn’t you abstain on this when you could have opposed and it would have fell.

Did Labour abstain?????

I think it is time that Labour did something really effective - perhaps boycott parliament, cripple it and call for mass demonstrations? Or would that upset the red wall too much?

You’re trying to make a lack of people applying for the free & easy to get IDs into something it is not. Labour are terrified of voter ID, despite most other countries requiring it, because it will hurt your vote harvesting operations amongst certain of our communities.

Locking millions out of voting *is* the plan.

Pretty obvious (and shameful) why they are doing it.
