My advice: Stop focusing only on Washington, and start paying attention to those running for office in your own backyard. Get involved in electing pro-choice state lawmakers. After today, these are the legislative bodies that will make or break our reproductive rights.
1. protection of Roe is NOT controversial. It is supported by the majority of the public (upwards of 80% in some polls), 2. the majority of people impacted by abortion bans are black, latino and other communities of color, 3. SCOTUS is not done, neither is anti-choice movement
I will explain this to you slowly: exercising our right to protest is not obstruction of Congress nor an attempt to overturn democracy.
If one were a heinous enough person to do that, theyโd likely seek a pardon for it too.
But only one of us here has done that. And it ainโt me

Clarence Thomas writes, in a concurring opinion, that the Supreme Court should reconsider Griswold, Lawrence, and Obergefell โ the rulings that now protect contraception, same-sex relationships, and same-sex marriage.
So, as I understand the Supreme Court, the government can arrest and jail you without Miranda rights, execute you even if your lawyer screws up, force you to have a baby, and use tax dollars to support religion.
But it can't protect your right to vote or keep you safe from guns.
Gonna be very weird if Supreme Court ends a constitutional right to obtain an abortion next week, saying it should be left to the States to decide, right after it just imposed a constitutional right to concealed carry of firearms, saying it cannot be left to the States to decide
