My friends and I chipped in to buy a $50 eBay copy of The White Album on vinyl. We will now (as much as is legal): 1. Release it for free on the internet 2. Sell the rights to every streaming service 3. Let every band cover Beatles songs Also I will keep it at my house.
We won the auction for €2.66M. Now our mission is to: 1. Make the book public (to the extent permitted by law) 2. Produce an original animated limited series inspired by the book and sell it to a streaming service 3. Support derivative projects from the community

If old school rappers picked names like modern ones the Beastie Boys would've been like Lil' Garfunkel and LA Gear Mane and Brooklyn Thee Snapple or something

Two Words really is one of the best word games out there. Give it a shot.
I appreciate that another word game may be taking over the world, but if you fancy another, my one is also out there (with British spelling). playtwowords.com

PSA: Wordle is not an app. It's a website and you play for free. Don't give support to opportunist assholes creating copycat apps trying to destroy everything good about the internet just to make some money.

I could manage to finish so many more books if editors limited the foreword, preface, and introduction to like 10 pages tops. I'm not reading 75 pages before page 1. Make a goddamn appendix or something.

Yes, the boat hit the iceberg, but putting the children in lifeboats is the most destructive thing imaginable to their psyche. It's time for us to stop all this evacuation talk and just complete the voyage.

Ok ok I tried Wordle. Fun setup, it's free and it's app-less, so can't complain. Wordle 197 3/6 ⬜⬜🟩⬜⬜ 🟨⬜🟩⬜🟩 🟩🟩🟩🟩🟩

This iOS Screen Time bug has been around for way too long, leaving the feature completely broken. Random websites are "active" permanently until you reboot the phone.

I just thought you should know Mark Snow composed the music for Ernest Saves Christmas. And Hans Zimmer composed the music for Cool Runnings.

Anecdotal data, but the most common voice assistant command for my family seems to be "No, cancel. Alexa stop. Alexa. Stop. ALEXA STOP. Jason don't unplug her it's fine ALEXA STOP. ALEXA"

Boar's Head has swept through and single-handedly destroyed every last independent deli counter and meat market I can find. Boar's Head is the ClearChannel of deli meat. Don't trust any company that refuses to list its ingredients anywhere.

This. The crypto bros are trying to retcon web history with Web 1.0 = read, Web 2.0 = write, Web 3.0 = whatever. Complete nonsense. Slashdot was 1.0. So were phpBB, Wikipedia, and Blogger. Web 2.0 was a UX and fashion change ushered by Digg, Gmail, XHR, and jQuery.
Since I'm old enough to remember the so-called Web 2.0 phenomenon, I think we need to remember what it was really based on. I see three things: 1. AJAX requests 2. JQuery and dynamic DOM rendering 3. Low-barrier to entry server-side scripting via (PHP, Perl, etc)

Not an exaggeration. If you don't experience legit terror while climbing too high or squeezing into too small a space (or both simultaneously), then you're not doing it right.
Finally went to the St. Louis City Museum, and nobody told me it’s a …Guillermo del Toro terror playground?
