Long overdue, the thread I promised about ESG investing – mostly personal experience and thoughts. Remember I mostly invest in fins – but not only.

1st sell side comment: "As for the Tier 2, we think a standalone solution makes bail-in less likely" You're not 100% obliged to believe them, but if you do, you'll get the best buy the dip ever🤣
It's now official. Watch out for the Tier 2 bonds tomorrow, they should look like the cliffs of Dover

Classic ahead of monday news: Talks over UniCredit rescue of Monte dei Paschi collapse 🤣
I'm not saying daily bond returns on Monte Paschi are dodgy, but I'm not saying they are not. People are enjoying their weekends.

🚁 money to fight inflation: genius ! (Or is it to buy votes ? 🧐)
French government is giving over 30m people a one-off €100 "inflation compensation" payment. Multi-billion euro giveaway that some people will get in early 2022, ahead of elections in April. Guess we will revisit those EU budget rules a but later then.

Has anyone got the details of the new rules ? It's not clear if they can still trade funds - if they can, of course, this is just useless. The problem with the Fed is not that they have company specific info, but macro info influencing the global bond and equity markets.
