Depends on how broadly or narrowly you're referring to analytics. I consider something as simple of charting plays "analytics". Hence, trying to capture what is happening on the field. If you refer to newer metrics as analytics, then that falls apart.

I think of analytics as the 'what' and tape as the 'why'. And I don't understand ppl who bemoan analytics. They're stats all the same as catches, yds, etc. Just different ways of measuring certain things.

I think it comes down to 2 things: 1. Consistency. But it is splitting hairs. The guys hitting 73% GIR of the time is going to be better than the guy hitting 70% of GIR. 2. And on any given week, there's also luck in having the putts actually fall instead of missing by <1 inch.

Yep, at the least. Mito will be lucky to get 5

The kids played well, which makes Kakko's 10 mins of ice time baffling (and annoying)

Yeah, there's something there. It's that football players aren't always the greatest evaluators of talent.

Keep the ball in play, no chunks, just get on the green when chipping, and 2 putt

Eat half. Then plant the other half and grow another blueberry.

Just shows why it'll be hard for NYR to win the series. They can't win a 9-6 style track meet with them but playing that style last night leaves no margin for error
Veteran move by Smith to get himself pulled early in that one.

I played a pro-am at a Korn Ferry tour event. We played about 75 yds up from the pro tees on every hole. Our 4 man scramble shot -9. Halfway thru the 1st day, there's already a pro who shot -7 by himself.

I would probably suck at it. I'd be too bored.
