You simply must admire the fact that Elon could do anything he wants every minute for the rest of his life, but instead he dutifully logs in every morning to get kicked in the dick and balls all day by his $44 billion group thread.

I saw something about Joyce Carol Oates earlier today. And, it made me realize something. I know her name, of course. I am pretty sure I read some essay by her in the New Yorker. But, while her name is a presence to me, I have never read any novel by her.

But, what is more, I can't recall anyone ever recommending her novels or stories. I can't recall anyone talking about about in any substantial way. She is a name I feel I must know, but beyond the name absolutely nothing. She exists on the outer periphery of my intellectual life.

Do you have people that exist as name only and very little beyond that?

So, I don't know a heck of a lot about Israeli politics. But can someone answer a few questions. First, are the judicial reforms that are causing all of this turmoil something vitally important to members of Netanyahu's coalition?

I know some people will find this ridiculous. But, for the life of me, this makes total sense.

Hey @elonmusk what’s this about blue checks going away unless we pay Twitter? I’ve been here for 15 years giving my ⏰ & witty thoughts all for bupkis. Now you’re telling me that I have to pay for something you gave me for free? What is this-the Colombia Records & Tape Club?🙄

I usually tweet about classical music, occasionally jazz. But today I want to say, I am a huge fan of Dylan. And, while my views are pretty convention, Blood on the Tracks is a just a great, fun, great album.

Far, far left (and far right) Twitter Russia will never invade Ukraine and all of you will look foolish in a few weeks. (Henceforth, YLF - "you look foolish") Kiev will fall, and YLF The real target was never Kiev. It was east and YLF.

There is no way Ukraine can launch an offensive, YLF. Russia will engage in a massive offensive and take a lot of territory, YLF. Bakhmut will fall soon, it is a Ukrainian disaster, YLF. So, @MatthewDownhour, what is the next to make people like me look foolish?

I know most of you have already purchased the hardback that came out some months ago. But why not get your travel paperback now out!

So, when is Bakhmut suppose to fall?
There is simply no way to reconcile the fall of Bakhmut with previous Western media coverage of the war which portrayed Russian defeat as inevitable. There is no joy in pointing this out. The point is that the media, especially their neocon pundit wing, is highly untrustworthy.
