Tbh I was just throwing out a guess based solely on my natural tendency to think that more government money being injected into a market that’s already up (esp in an inflationary environment) is not smart, but I will admit that economically I myself am not smart, sooo 🤷🏻♂️

I agree with the second part of that and will offer disclaimer: NOT an economist. But isn’t “large injection of government funds directly into concentrated market” pretty likely to cause inflation within that market?

Honestly probably yes... Not as bad as broad student loan forgiveness tho- which I would benefit way more from personally, but will readily admit is awful economic policy (right now more than ever)

Wanna be really clear that although I have very strongly held & relatively well-developed principles that generally determine my political leanings, once we start talking tens of thousands of dollars like DeSantis w/homebuyer nurses or Biden w/student loans, I’m 💯down 2 sell out

Yeah he lost 100% of the significant respect I had for him when he started arguing that we’re doing a moral disservice by boosting frontline workers before forcing first doses on vaccine deniers smh. Thankfully he’s not running policy and my booster will increase my baby’s safety
