Fedex’s Newark, CA depot is where packages go to die. *Every time* a package of mine arrives there it sits there for at least a week before being delivered. This has been the case for months. I avoid FedEx whenever possible now.

And FedEx, rather than replying and asking me to DM you my tracking number, please don’t bother. It’s not a lost package. It’s a systemic problem and it needs to get fixed. Please pass it up the line.

Still no light bulbs. You gotta love how a package that’s already nine days overdue with “no scheduled delivery date at this time” is listed as “potentially delayed”. FedEx: If you can’t handle the load then accept fewer packages. Otherwise you’ll kill Christmas.

Fed up with my package sitting in FedEx’s depot for two weeks I resolved to call them today and demand delivery. I called them at 1-800-GO-FEDEX and, while it was ringing I refreshed the tracking page and suddenly it says ‘On truck for delivery’. I should’ve called sooner.

Even so, “On truck for delivery” means they won’t deliver it until tomorrow.

I now have two other packages coming my way via FedEx Ground and the moment they’re a day late I’m calling to raise hell. Eff this two week grace period I’ve been giving them.

Here we go again. When FedEx packages hit Newark and the delivery date suddenly goes missing I know I'm in for a wait of a week or two...

The MO is to call them and they create a report and send it to their local (Newark) location. Item gets delivered next day. Unfortunately I do this every single time. Also, an opportunity for a different (and better) UX once the shipment is delayed. Same UX doesn't work.
