To Be Clear: if President Biden had kept our troops in Afghanistan and rolled back the Trump plan, Republicans would be attacking him for keeping our troops in harm's way in an unwinnable war.

And violence against our troops would have dramatically increased, increasing the number of casualties on both sides substantially.

Leaving Afghanistan & ending our participation there would have been a no-win situation (pun intended) whenever it happened. But the PTB should certainly have planned much better for our departure & getting all our people (including those Afghans who helped us) safely evacuated.

True. But there was absolutely no hint that the Afghan gov/mil would collapse in 2-4 days. It shouldn鈥檛 have happened. I鈥檝e spent/served a very long time there and no one, no one at all had a reason to think they would cave and run so fast. Nothing we could do about it.

I agree. The Rs made it very clear for decades it doesn鈥檛 matter, they will say whatever to try and discredit. Much easier for them then focuses on policy and the American people

This of course was unwinnable for Biden from the start.
