Bleak hour or so not far from Calais. Scores and scores of people having to walk up and down the roadside after their camp was broken up by police. They say officers confiscated their sleeping bags and equipment. It’s cold, miserable- saw a couple of kids crying in the street.

Travel restrictions stop making sense once a pathogen is in circulation locally, as a few introduction from abroad won't contribute significantly to the local epidemic dynamic. They should be lifted as soon as local transmissions exceed the risk of introduction from abroad. 4/

And No 10’s line too This was the same week as the alleged gathering in No10. Of course Mr Ellwood was going to an external event outside of his workplace but Mr Ellwood was accused of breaking the “reasonably necessary” part of the guidance, same as No 10 is being in this case
