Evidence mounts that Brexit was a disaster. Politicians dare not yet say so (though they will). Brexiteers will not yet admit it (though they know). The truth is that, in an age of adversity, the UK invented its own unnecessary calamity. Those responsible will not be forgiven

Every news channel showing paramedics stuck at EDs unable to offload. “We just need a bed space” With the lowest number of beds per 1000 population throughout Europe, what did we ever expect? You can’t flow with no bed capacity.

"In myriad ways, the material experience of Britain’s departure from EU, & especially SM, is doing the job of persuasion that remainers & their arguments tried but failed. As reality does its work, even those previously sympathetic to the Brexit cause look at it through new eyes"

Tory MPs standing down because: -they know they’ve screwed up -they know they can’t possibly fix any of it, particularly when so many of them are still intent on smashing up whatever’s left -they know they won’t win. Game over Don’t feel you need to wait 2 years the rest of you.

I wonder just how many food bank parcels could have been made up from the 1.3 million spent on the No 10 garden statue. How many school meals could have been provided to hungry kids. This purchase is a sickening and heartless act #ToriesCostLives #ToriesOut148

People keep repeating the Brexit ship has sailed its a democratic vote. The thing about democracy is that you can change your mind and when something isn’t working thats a good idea. Nothing is set in stone. We were better off in the European Union and that’s where we should be!

Is the PM honestly saying that everyone who goes to state school has no aspiration? 93% of children go to state school. That's a lot of people the UK Tory Government are writing off by ringfencing tax breaks for private schools. #PMQs

On the racism row, Lady Hussey’s “I spent time in France” comment is interesting, and no-one seems to have picked up on it. What did she mean? That spending time in France certainly didn’t make her able to claim to be French, therefore…?
