The Court's reasoning would mean that a defeated campaign could raise unlimited donations to pay off campaign debt. (while a winning candidate could only do so within FEC limits).

This should be as alarming to Democrats as a conspiracy theorist running elections in Michigan or PA. Democracy is under threat everywhere, whether it’s a presidential battleground or not.
