I really didn’t see this coming. The 21st Century was supposed to be so much better than this. I’m seventy, retired at 58. I benefitted from the policies of socialist governments. All I have to say in my defence, is that I voted for them.

Dissent has been quashed to the extent that the self-described British left cheers from the sidelines as the UK sends depleted uranium weaponry to Ukraine. Which will cause cancer and birth defects for generations, and poison Ukraine's wonderful soils.

The simple fact is the Government has declared war on the working people of this country
and whilst we all look the other way Sunak plans to rob millions of workers of their democratic right to strike, force them to work against their will & allow them to be sacked if they refuse Let’s keep this in the news

We are commodities. Units of production to be deployed as and when the elites see fit to maximise their personal profit. Nope, ta all the same.
(1)JP Morgan analyst on R4Today this a.m., saying the Bank Of England needs wages to drop , and it was sad unemployment was low because it meant it was harder to control inflation: The financial system wants you poorer, if not unemployed, and this is unchallenged by the media

Yes, this! It's the actual mechanism they (and other central banks) are using, and yet media almost never point that out. Instead, they speak as though the relationship between inflation and interest rates is some financial market wizardry that doesn't affect living standards. 🤬

The inevitable move to full deposit guaranteed banking has begun. But why have private banks and exploitative bankers in that case when all the risk is taken by society? This is the debate we need ft.com/content/fcfaea32-7288…

Rupert Murdoch admitted that he knew he was spreading lies about the election being ‘stolen’ in court. This led to the Jan 6th attempted insurrection and at least 6 deaths. If you think he needs to be sued for the full $4.3bn and banned from the Media, RT. I followback.

I am horrified to hear reports that an elderly Muslim man was set on fire on his way from a mosque yesterday in Birmingham. The victim's injuries are said to be serious but – thankfully – not life-threatening. My thoughts and prayers are with the victim and his loved ones.

The historic peace deal that China brokered between Saudi Arabia and Iran has much bigger implications than just regional stability I wrote about the massive economic implications. It's a major blow to the petrodollar that undergirds US economic hegemony: geopoliticaleconomy.com/2023…
