Although being verbally anti-Zionist is no guarantee of actually holding political commitments that oppose Zionism, it is worth noting the massive resurgence of people who claim to support Indigenous yet are completely silent on Palestine

There are at the same time plenty who oppose Zionism but support the shattering of the state and non-state Arab/Iranian political and financial infrastructure which to varying degrees supports resistance to Israel.

Good thing the “leftists” promoting slapdash Willy-nilly afforestation aren’t Zionists and Anti-Zionism is normalized on the US left, as we’ve seen over the last few days 😳
"Afforestation has been used as a tool to conceal and normalize the unlawful transfer of those 750,000 to 900,000 Palestinians whose homes were destroyed and/or appropriated between 1947 and 1949" alhaq.org/advocacy/19171.htm…

This is so good and you really should see it. Huge appreciation to @roopagogineni and @shibajibose1; to brilliant PASTRES PhD candidates - @natasha_maru, Palden Tsering, @giuliasimula, @Masresha09, @twahirah3, Linda Pappagallo; and to @Nipun_Prabhakar for his work in Kachchh.
Today we are delighted to launch a new online exhibition, Seeing Pastoralism, which uses stories and images to explore how pastoralists understand, experience and respond to uncertainty. All the info can be found on our latest blog pastres.org/2021/11/26/seein…

Main problem with the #GreenNewDeal is it seeks to ameliorate rather than confront or negate structural inequalities between North & South or rich & poor.@SheetalChabbers @sakshiaravind: Against claims that #GND is useful because it is viable,@maxajl exposes its political damage

It was an absolute pleasure to review @maxajl's excellent new book A People’s Green New Deal as a part of @CriticalDev symposium. The book really doesn't need interlocutors and I hope you will all read it along with rest of the symposium contributions. developingeconomics.org/2021…

If you want to understand the affinity between the trot position and the opportunist reformist position (and the ease of movement between the two highlighted in the Bowman Affair) you can read Sam Moyo & Paris Yeros on “the two lefts”: researchgate.net/publication…

One can expect these battles over the direction of DSA to continue because of the sea change in young peoples sentiment over the past decade.
