If this is the record, then why hunger and Mal nutrition in India is so high. Why can't My India feed its children from this much of food grain. The truth is it gets rotten due to lack of storage facilities which otherwise would have feed millions of hunger.
As per @AgriGoI's estimate, foodgrains production is expected to be a record 316.06 mn. tonnes in 2021-22.
The govt. has set a new record level target of foodgrain production at 328 mn. tonnes for 2022-23. The target is 3.8% higher, compared to the previous year's output.
