Also, do not use "the MLB"

That is why we recommend avoiding general “the” labels such as the poor, the mentally ill, the wealthy, the disabled, the college-educated.

2B #top10rightnow on @MLBnetwork. Our lists are pre-Jazz-CF, obv. Very easy 1-5. Altuve's a HOF'er. The bottom half was a struggle. I'm not happy with Torres this high. I must have changed 6-13 a billion times. It's a weird spot. Next up: Kim, Donovan, Polanco, Ketel, Rodgers

SS #top10rightnow on @MLBnetwork. A loaded position of the gods, as always. I think people forget Franco isn't even 22 yet. Edman was here before Correa came back to SS. Next up: Edman, Witt Jr., Tim A

The addition of Scott Rolen to the 3B JAWS set really blew up the standards. (h/t @baseballtwit)

I have seen a million complaints that Keith Hernandez isn't in the HOF, but Rolen is. First of, KH isn't on the ballot, so it's irrelevant. He's good a good case, but anyway, I look at it like this. Writers from back in the day, way before nerd stats, didn't think he was a HOF:

And when we tried to reevaluate older cases through modern lenses, we all agreed he comes up just short. I wouldn't mind if he's in, the case is a decent one, I just have a real hard time seeing the egregious offense here. mlb.com/news/reevaluating-ba…

Annual "Hall of Fame standards are getting tighter, not getting watered down" update 5000+ PA players/2000+ IP pitchers by debut decade. Of those that debuted before 1960, 24% are in Cooperstown. From 1960 on, it's 11%.

I'm writing about the changes to Comerica and it's pretty fun because it's not exactly how I expected it to turn out .. which is always the best outcome.

Sometimes I think I'd have fun hosting a local radio show because I think the way I'd have reacted to the guy I just heard call in saying that baseball games are too quick nowadays but also that he hasn't watched it in years would have been something else
