This was my take on Boris Johnson telling us to “move on”…
It only takes one man to move out before the country can move on. He’s defiled his office - made his environment a physical & moral sty. How far our country has fallen under him…
“And you’re content to back a lawbreaker in office?”
“I certainly am”
That, in a nutshell, is how far the government & country has fallen under Boris Johnson in less than three years…
Thanks to the behaviour of this Prime Minister, we’re just not seen, by friends or rivals, as having a serious government.
Well said, @TomTugendhat. It’s frustrating and tragic.
Please tell me we’ve reached the part where, after several expected deaths, the Terminator, skinless, legless, mangled and crawling has entered the crusher.
Conservative MP Mark Harper says he is sick of colleagues being pushed out "on the television day after day and saying things that are frankly ridiculous"…
…while PM gets to say that he cannot say anything.
Harper says PM not worthy of his office.
“[No10 insiders] describe arriving for work the morning after a get-together to find bottles lying around parts of the building, bins overflowing with rubbish and empties left on the table.”
@BBCPanorama
This is very, very good by @bbclaurak… and absolutely damning for Boris Johnson.
His staff say he was drinking at these events all the time — and he blatantly lied about it in Parliament and on TV.
“…it emerged last night”
Something else emerged last night, too.
However, the Daily Mail is not a *news*paper so has no interest in national news it doesn’t like.
He may think that he’s making things better, but question avoidance techniques like this don’t have that effect.
Playing viewers for fools generates immense frustration and also debases the quality of national discussion. It’s a public disservice.
“The impacts of Brexit… have been blamed”
And here we are yet again. Even the Minister for Brexit Opportunities would rather avoid talk about Brexit and instead retreats away to haunting civil service desks with a pen and pad of notes.
