I wonder whether some sort of unofficial amnesty for people who fell for ‘anti-vaxx’ or ‘anti-mask’ nonsense might work. No comebacks, no recriminations, no gloating. We all pretend you never went there while you just get yourself vaccinated & start wearing a mask…

Struck out very confidently on a walk through the countryside of my childhood. Didn’t consult map, lost track of markers & ended up, literally, in the next town. For the Kidderminster cognoscenti, I started on the ‘Habberley Valley Circular Walk’ & ended up in Bewdley.

“Everywhere where scientific facts are denied, conspiracy theories and smear campaigns are spread, resistance must be loud.” In her farewell address, German Chancellor Angela Merkel says democracy “thrives on…trust in facts” as she prepares to step down after 16 years in office

This hasn’t come close to the numbers achieved by other recent clips. Owen Paterson got 2.5 million for example. But it’s one of my all-time favourites.
James O'Brien's incredible Eric Cantona-inspired analogy, featuring seagulls and a fishing trawler, explains why Meghan Markle has enraged so many media outlets. @mrjamesob

Lucy. On 22nd December last year I buried my father, and said goodbye to my mom and family in a crematorium car park, because we followed the rules. Meanwhile, Johnson was hosting parties in Downing Street which he had specifically legislated against. You think this is OK?

It seems quite important to find out whether your colleagues were holding illegal parties while your constituents obeyed the rules & so missed precious moments with loved ones who later died.
Is this what you you were sent to Parliament to do? Is this what you want the police to spend time doing? Or would standing up for your constituents and letting police fight crime be best use of public money?

Which of these stories is true? 1. Nigel Farage’s anti-cancel culture conference has been cancelled. 2. There may be a gammon shortage this Christmas due to Brexit. 3. Mark François is self-publishing his memoir because *all* proper publishers are ‘biased’.

Rocco Forte on the radio. Voted for Brexit and now can’t find staff to work in his restaurants & hotels. Unhappy about how few of his workers are British. His father came here from Italy. I’m struggling to muster much sympathy.

Worried about this. I mean, it is a brilliant game but I’m uncomfortable seeing my ‘brand’ being associated with ‘arguments’ of all things…
Spent the night playing our very first game of @mrjamesob’s #MysteryHour board game! The smug expression on my face is because I won…of course 😏 I can highly recommend it! It’ll be an absolute belter for Christmas Day. Although be warned: arguments are likely.

Fake news. Lots of people beat Rocky. Apollo Creed, Clubber Lang & Mason Dixon for example.

5/ Khan takes me down Tooting high st, past the phone shop that used to be his local video store. "When I was growing up, you’d actually hire a video player, because we didn't have a player at home. We'd stay up all night watching films - Rocky 1, Rocky 2. You can't beat Rocky"
