a couple of years ago while travelling in Florida (we are from Australia) my wife was charged $3000 for a dr to look @ a tick - 5 minutes - our insurance paid it...

As an American and Australian (since 1981) I always vote here - I ask my wife who to vote for because I know more about USA politics than here; which are the democrats here? - still registered to vote in New Jersey which I do - voting should be compulsory in the States too

Because I am 74, retired, never paid HECS, or anything else. PhD 2005 UniSA, Masters 1998, BA 1995 Deaken. Taught overseas for 13 years paid no Aussie tax. Think it has changed since.

lucky me...I am an American...married an Australian in 1981...came here with a 10th grade education..went to uni: BA, Masters, PhD never paid a cent here in Australia. Have since taught in NYC, China, Australia...@ 4 different universities
