smartctl, and yes those numbers are quite unusual for a laptop. Swap usage is utterly insane. (That’s a screenshot of 2 days and a half after boot) Not an easy situation for the 256GB drive inside over the long term…

I wonder how many warranty claims there have been due to worn out SSDs within the std AppleCare period?

Usually TLC SSDs guarantee 600 TB written per 1TB of capacity. Some up to 1800 TB. The NAND usually survives more, but you don't know how much more. So once you write 150 TB to the 256GB, you are on your own. But if there are failures, it'll likely be more common after warranty.

macOS 11.2 is slightly better now, however, it is still worse than Intel MacBooks.
