The LibDem victory in Chesham and Amersham was greatly helped by tactical voting by Labour supporters. But it is far harder to organise tactical voting in a General Election. That is why a Progressive Alliance remains absolutely necessary.

If they can win the very first thing they need to do is institute ranked choice voting. Seriously.

That is a difficult one because it favours the 3 largest parties but not the Greens, who currently only have one seat. If the party who won, using such tactical voting, promised PR, I might think it was worth it.

The calculation for the greens is a government formed from cooperation like this would then introduce electoral reform, including PR, which would be a long term gain for the Greens and would see their share of MPs increase drastically.

Better still let them know that we will not wait for them and instead intend to either: For Tory MPs, vote for whoever came second to them in 2019 regardless if you support that party, or For Non-Tory MPs, vote for them regardless if you support their party. Keep Tories out!
