Hello! After being asked several times, I finally put together a resource for Muslims with questions about game development. Most of you reading this are non-Muslims, but I would really appreciate RTs/likes and sharing the word about this ✌️🙏🎮
For #screenshotsaturday, this spherical robot I made as a concept years ago, and didn't do anything with.
But for my current game, I realized its design fits the style, so I redesigned it to make it more visually appealing, and gave it life!
The tactician is an advanced class that combines support and scouting skills. They can heal over a distance, mark areas for fast traversal, take the high ground to buff allies below, and rescue injured units with the Evac skill. Very versatile! #screenshotsaturday#gamedev
Killing Israeli solider in a video game = murder. Killing Palestinian civilians in real life = self defense. Facebook gives a platform to hate groups citing freedom of speech but will ban a game about war?
A new computer game centering around the murder of Israeli soldiers has been removed from Facebook, following an outcry among pro-Israeli groups and Israeli lawmakers.
The social media giant removed Fursan Al-Aqsa, the Knights of the Al-Aqsa mosque @Facebook#computergame
Epic Games Store will welcome games that make use of blockchain tech provided they follow the relevant laws, disclose their terms, and are age-rated by an appropriate group. Though Epic's not using crypto in our games, we welcome innovation in the areas of technology and finance.
Good alternative: player-driven difficulty via a sliding scale of easy to difficult classes. (Tank melee warrior, obviously easy. Finicky mage, obviously hard.)
"Tutorial" phase could/should be the easiest class, precisely designed, with lots of hand-holding.
But generally your game should:
-have an amazing art style, not necessarily photorealistic graphics but something eye catching and consistent
-evoke a powerful fantasy and mood
-get regularly updated with lots of community interaction
-be polished to a mirror finish
